Future Leaders Academy (FLA), as a responsible school, believes that we have a duty to ensure students benefit the most from our programmes. This School Policy is part of our commitment to provide a supportive learning environment for all students.

1. Enrollment:
Students are enrolled into Future Leaders Academy’s programmes after a confirmation of payment receipt is issued. No refund is allowed once enrollment is confirmed.


2. Payment:
Parents are required to fully pay school fees before the beginning of each payment period. If students join in the middle of a payment period, payment is made for the remaining classes of the period and next period.

Payment can be made by FPS or direct bank transfer. If the school is unable to receive payment on time, the school has the right to cancel the student’s class. No refund is allowed once payment is made.

3. Late Payment
Payment must be made before the commencement of classes. An extra administration charge will be imposed for overdue payment of more than 7 days from the first day of the classes. Please check with Future Leaders Academy on the current late payment administration charge.

4. Class Behavior
While Future Leaders Academy provides a welcoming learning environment, we do require students to ensure basic common sense learning behavior in class. Out of bound behaviour no matter in which form is not accepted. Please refer to our student handbook on class rules and regulations. If a student continues to disrupt the class that is detrimental to other students and the teaching, we reserve the right to withdraw the student from enrolling in our programme.
 

5. Attendance:
Students are required to attend scheduled classes on time. Scheduled classes cannot be changed under no circumstances except otherwise stated below in the Leave of Absence section.
If a student failed to attend a scheduled class other than the reasons in the Leave of Absence section, student’s attendance will be marked as absent. Neither makeup nor refund will be provided for the missed class. Also if a student fails to show up without any notification before the class commence, no makeup and no refund will be given.

6. Leave of Absence:
Students can apply for leave of absence. The application must be made via email or Whatsapp one week before the scheduled class for record keeping. For sick leave, parents are required to also send email or Whatsapp to notify Future Leaders on the originally scheduled day. Students are required to provide medical paper from registered doctors or hospitals to validate the leave of absence afterward. Only with the above leave of absence situations, a make-up class will be arranged.


7. Makeup Class:
If a student can’t attend a scheduled class with reasons stated in the Leave of Absence section, a makeup class will be provided. The makeup class cannot be used as a replacement for any regular class schedule. The makeup class must be completed within 6 months of the originally missed class. The missed class will be automatically forfeited after 6 months without any exceptions. .

Future Leaders Academy will provide at least 2 makeup class options. If Future Leaders Academy fails to provide at least 2 makeup class options, the missed class will be refunded in full. If a student still cannot attend any of the makeup class options, parents/guardians either forfeits the student’s class or is responsible to arrange another makeup time with Future Leaders Academy. Future Leaders Academy reserves the rights to offer a makeup schedule it deems possible.

Once a make-up class is confirmed with the parents/guardians, no further change of the confirmed make-up class is allowed.


8. Weather Conditions:
When Typhoon Signal No.1 or No.3, or Amber/Red Rainstorm Warning is in force, all classes will operate as usual. When Typhoon Signal No.8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning is in force at or after, all classes will be cancelled. (No Make-up Class and No Refund)
Class will resume as usual two hours after the Typhoon signal is lowered.

9. Competitions
We encourage our learners to participate in various competitions to gain experience, improve skills and extend exposure. For students confirmed to be team members for competitions, the parents and students are required to commit time and effort to prepare and compete to their best ability. Competitive team members must

   - Attend scheduled training classes on time.
   - Wear FLA team uniforms to attend competitive and friendly events
   - Behave reasonably well at all events while representing Future Leaders Academy
   - Attend additional training classes if deemed necessary by coaches,

   - Pay corresponding coaching and competition fees
 

10. Programme withdrawal:
Parents wishing to withdraw Future Leaders Academy’s regular year round programmes must notify us in writing 2 weeks before the commencement of the upcoming class term. Minimum class term is 1 calendar month. Parents who fail to notify us 2 weeks before the commencement of next class term must complete the payment of next class term before withdrawal approval. Future Leaders Academy does not accept withdrawal applications for other special and short programmes, holiday workshops, events and any non regular annual programmes.


11. Promotion materials:
We at times record classes and events to be used only for celebrating students’ successes and promoting the programmes.


12. Policy change and interpretation
Future Leaders Academy at times will update the policy to improve the learning experience and operation efficiency. We reserve the rights to make necessary policy changes without prior notification. In case of any disagreement of the policy, Future Leaders International Limited reserves the rights on all final decisions.


13. Agreement and Confirmation
By registering to Future Leaders Academy programmes, students, parents and guardians agree to adhere to Future Leaders Academy’s school policy. Future Leaders Academy looks forward to working with the learners, parents and guardians and developing future leaders for the betterment of society.
